Total lunar eclipse transforms sky with stunning blood moon

People around the world saw the moon transform into a striking blood moon on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, during a total lunar eclipse. The March full moon is called the ‘Worm Moon’ because it coincides with the time of year when the ground softens and earthworms and beetles emerge. The eclipse marked the last blood moon to be seen in North America until New Year’s Eve 2028.
